Progressive Betting system versus Martingale Betting system
Players make use of various betting systems for winning. Some of the most commonly used betting systems are Martingale Betting system and Progressive Betting system. Both of them are very popular, but are opposite in nature. Some of the distinction points of Progressive Betting systems and Martingale Betting systems are given below-
Progressive Betting System
One of the popular Betting systems is Progressive Betting system in which the player tends to increase his bet, whenever he wins a chance. This type of betting system is superior as the player is not taking a chance to risk his bankroll, whereas he is playing and risking his winnings. For e.g. a player using Progressive Betting system needs to bet one chip on five different numbers. The player needs to keep trying until he hits one. Finally when his number is drawn he gets a 30-chip profit for that spin. After he wins he needs to add another chip to each number. If again his number is drawn he gets a profit of 60 chips in addition to his previous profit of 30 chips making total profit of 90 chips. If none of the number is drawn in the second round of bet still the player will be up 20 chips.
The player keeps on adding chips until a point when none of his number is drawn and then goes back to one chip per number. The process starts again and keeps going. Through this system the player makes a considerable profit keeping his losses normal and a reasonable level.
Martingale betting system
Martingale betting system is used for even money bets. In Martingale Betting system the player doubles his bet every time he loses
a chance and if he wins then he starts from his original bet. For e.g. if a player starts with a bet of $10 and wins then he will again start with $10 but if he loses
then he will bet $20. If he again loses
then he will bet $40 and if loses
gain then he will bet $80. If he wins this time then he will again start with $10 his original bet.
Players think that by using Martingale betting system they can increase the chances of winning in short term, whereas this system cannot work practically because the casinos do not allow the player to double the bets indefinitely. Even if the player keeps on doubling his bets he tends to loses
his bankroll in short time.
